1. INTRO
Quick newsletter for early summer...
Two points of interest found therein:
1) DREKKA will be on tour in the Northeast US MAY 14 - JUNE 1st, supporting the new DREKKA full-length LP out now on DAIS RECORDS. I will have new t-shirts, new buttons, new business cards, the new DRY SOCKET cassette... and of course, the new DREKKA LP.
2) The debut DRY SOCKET release, 'Violator EP', will be available imminently from NO! Records (and on the merch table of the upcoming DREKKA tour)... DRY SOCKET is the power duo of Dylan Ettinger and Drekka, and the new EP is a 23 minute cassette of vintage industrial synths and tape collage.
NOTE: Regarding availability of the new DREKKA full-length LP, entitled 'Ekki gera fikniefnum,'.
The LP is almost sold out from both the label and from me. I anticipate that my copies will be gone by the time I land in Italy in late-August... I will hold a side a few copies to sell in Europe. But if you know you want one, I would suggest grabbing one before they are gone.

3. DRY SOCKET - VIOLATOR EP (C-23)
Indiana based tape label, NO! RECORDS has released the debut EP from DRY SOCKET, industrial synth worship and tape collage duo featuring Dylan Ettinger and Mkl Anderson of Drekka.
Pro-dubbed in an edition of 50 copies w/ download code, and hand-printed and numbered two colour jcards designed and printed by DREKKA.
It is available from the NO! RECORDS BANDCAMP or come get one at at the merch table on the upcoming DREKKA tours.
NO! collaborated w/ RED FROST INDUSTRIES to release last year's DREKKA <--> ASSIMILATION (C-42). They also released the great 'NO!' compilation earlier this year, documenting the Bloomington industrial/experimental scene at the moment.

NO!03 - DRY SOCKET - VIOLATOR EP
The reclusive Bloomington Dry Socket was known by word of mouth for their blistering (and secret) live shows. The duo recorded one demo back in 2011 but was never released. "Violator" is a completely new rework of the 2011 demo.
Dry Socket has a very rhythmic sound. Side A sees conventional percussion with some very unconventional synth and organ combinations, along with an infectious vocal melody. Side B favors a gritty, pulsing slab of noise and junk metal for the rhythm section, while bands of wildly oscillating feedback hang in the air above.
Dry Socket recalls the first wave of industrial music - Psychic TV and SPK are good reference points, along with newer artists such as German Army and Helm.
The members of the band are known for other projects - Michael Anderson is the figurehead of the Bluesanct label and performs as the ambient industrial project Drekka. Dylan Ettinger has released several albums under his own name on labels such as Not Not Fun, Digitalis Limited and NNA Tapes.
